The staff of The Handa Foundation enjoyed taking rugby legend Richie McCaw on a three-city tour of Cambodia to visit the programs founded by Dr. Haruhisa Handa. Mr. McCaw is a three-time recipient of the World Rugby Player of the Year Award, and was crowned the World Rugby Player of the Decade and New Zealand Sportsman of the Decade in 2021. In addition to speaking at the University of Cambodia in the capital, Mr. McCaw was also able to speak to the staff at the Handa Medical Center and then put on a short rugby clinic for the young students at the Handa Academy.
